The trigeminal neuralgia Creator

Last Updated: 03-03-24

Your body isn’t out to hurt you. It is an intelligence system that wants nothing but the best for you no matter how you treat it. Give your body a little bit more credit than it being a broken down machine. I believe that illness is a feedback mechanism that lets us know when something is emotionally bothering us under the surface; that we may or may not be conscious of. Are there physical factors involved in illness? YES! Can studies and evidence-based medicine be the only pieces of the puzzle that matter? I don’t believe this to be true. Gather as much information as you can physically, emotionally and spiritually before making any decisions involving your body. Be your best advocate.

What is trigeminal neuralgia?

An Illustration of thE Trigeminal Neuralgia Creator

The Trigeminal Neuralgia Creator belief: “I feel guilty for ruining someone else’s life.”

A man is unhappy in his romantic relationship and starts to entertain a relationship with a co-worker. Over the next few weeks, the man and co-worker become physically intimate. A few weeks later, than man hears from his co-worker that she is expecting a child. Devestated, the man runs home and tells his wife what has happened. The unhappy man and his wife choose to stay together upon the condition that he would discontinue his affair. For the next few years, the man watched his wife become paralzed with fear/anger/rage/depression and grief. As she avoided those feelings and sat in paralasis, she slowly lost everything else in her life that she valued. Upon watching his wife lose one of her best friends, the man became overwhelmed with guilt. “I can’t believe my actions ruined her this badly. I ruined her life.” As a subconscious punishment, he declared in that moment: “I am going to match or exceed the pain that I feel like I caused her. I am going to ruin my life.”

Therapeutic Considerations

The word “creator” is used very intentionally. If an individual can live out the illustration of the Trigeminal Neuralgia Creator over and over again, it is CREATED. Here are questions that I encourage you to journal about and/or discuss with your counselor.

*Do not sit and think about these questions. Get the thoughts out of your body through writing or speech. A true, unbiased, analysis of oneself can not happen within just the contents of one’s own mind.

  1. What does ruining someone’s life look like?

  2. Who’s specific life do you feel like you have ruined? (Try to narrow this down to 1 or 2 people)

  3. How long did it take to ruin this person’s life?

  4. How do you know that you ruined this person’s life?

  5. Does it FEEL like you ruined this person’s life forever?

  6. Why is it unforgivable to ruin someone’s life?

  7. Could ruining your own life be hurting other people?

  8. Does runing your life help repair the person’s life that you feel like you ruined?

  9. Do you think the person’s life you ruined wants revenge against you?

  10. Do you believe that in order to forgive someone else or forgive yourself that you have to make something “equal”? Could forgiveness be about truely understanding why you did what you did, truely understanding how your actions affected others and learning/practicing how to change?'
